We Can Help

When You Don’t Know Who to Call?

At CSI our purpose is to connect all seniors with services and resources that can help them with issues or concerns associated with day to day living.

Personal assistance is provided at our storefront office or follow up phone calls are made to ensure the caller has obtained the required assistance.

The core program at the Centre for Seniors Information (CSI) is our Information and Referral Help Line and Resource Library.

Seniors, and those concerned about seniors, visit our centre or call in with questions such as: how to access home support services; where to get help with home repairs; or problems understanding or dealing with government departments for pensions and income tax; or concerns about issues such as transportation, fraud or elder abuse.

Our Volunteers, A World of Experiences Make all the Difference.

Seniors who call in to the Centre for Seniors Information find it helpful to talk with someone who has had similar life experiences and can offer a listening ear and provide information, support or referrals.

The CSI Information Line is answered on a rotational basis by volunteer seniors and Senior Peer Counsellors. To prepare them for their role, volunteers take part in a series of training and information sessions which include discussions on aging, challenges for seniors, communication, listening skills and problem solving. In addition, our volunteers bring a life time of experience, knowledge and understanding.

If you would like to volunteer or have a question or concern please Contact Us.
